Hosting a Fun Party is a fun and rewarding way to support the Stevenson community. Here’s how you can get started:
Consider choosing an event/theme that appeals to the Stevenson community. It could even be an idea that appeals specifically to your class! Examples of past events can be found HERE. A running list of ideas/suggestions that have been made can be found HERE. (examples provided are from PSF)
Optional: Find a co-host(s). This is highly recommended! Many PACT parties are co-hosted making them more fun and more cost effective to host.
Set a realistic event budget - Please keep in mind that all PACT party expenses and materials are taken care of by the host(s). All ticket sales directly benefit Stevenson PACT Foundation. You can ask/find event sponsors or material donations. Example: find materials on Buy Nothing Groups
Choose a venue. If planning for an event located on campus and your event requires access to the bathrooms, MUR, and/or a classroom, please reach out to coordinate with a teacher as a staff member needs to be present. Your fun party can be hosted anywhere such as parks, community centers, stores, private homes, etc.
Define the minimum and maximum number of participants. Also define the type of participants - Is this geared for adults only, children only (a drop off event?), or for the whole family? Examples: Crafting fun parties may include the whole family and want to limit to 16 participants or less. Alternatively, they could be just adults and include wine (reminder alcohol is not allowed on campus).
Determine the cost per participant/family. Crafting events tend to be per participant due to material considerations while workout events might be per family (if it’s a family geared event).
Choose date(s) for your event. Consider having a couple back up dates for your event in case there are schedule conflicts. The coordinator takes into consideration school breaks, holidays, other PSF events, as well as other fun parties already scheduled. (Suggestion: October - March)
